Grant Thornton in Thailand promotes two new partners, showing strength in a time of economic uncertainty

Bangkok, Thailand, July 2020 – Accounting and professional services firm Grant Thornton in Thailand proudly announces the addition of two new Partners to its Audit and Assurance Department: Ms Amornjid Baolorpet and Ms Saranya Akharamahaphanit.

Thailand’s economy has been severely impacted by COVID-19, but Grant Thornton has managed to remain strong throughout the crisis, as it promotes key people and continues to provide high-level services to clients.

“Although times are hard around the economy, we remain committed to ensuring quality within our team and for our clients,” said CEO and Managing Partner Ian Pascoe. “This major addition to our group of Partners is a reflection of that commitment.”

“Both Ms Amornjid and Ms Saranya joined our firm in 2005, demonstrating true leadership and dedication throughout the past 15 years,” he added. “Their deep industry knowledge, attention to detail, and consistent motivation have guided Grant Thornton in Thailand to new heights. It made perfect sense to bring them onto the leadership team now, as their voices will be welcome additions to our boardroom. Having both of these Partners in the Audit Department will also ensure that we continue delivering audit and assurance at a high level for our clients.”

The firm hosted a celebratory dinner on the evening of July 1st to mark the official beginning of Ms Amornjid’s and Ms Saranya’s tenure as Partners. The new additions bring Grant Thornton in Thailand’s total number of Partners up to 12.

While other professional services firms in Thailand have decided to put new Partner admissions on hold, Grant Thornton has opted for a bolder approach.
