Digital Assessment phase

Normally a 2-to-3-month project to craft the business case and specific roadmap for the possible digital interventions using the 5-point methodology above. During this time, we will:

  1. Work with the business leaders in designated departments to provide a high-level scan of current business challenges that may benefit from digital interventions.
  2. Collectively prioritize these, particularly focussing on highest value with least complexity.
  3. Collaboratively join these together into high priority use cases or value streams.
  4. Prepare the specific business case for these high priority use cases showing the efficiencies which can be gained and additional revenue streams.
  5. Prepare and deliver a report to the executives on the opportunities, business plan and project schedule to achieve the business benefit through implementing digital interventions. Using experience of real projects this will also discuss common pitfalls and techniques for successful digital transformations.
Digital Implementation phase

The Digital Assessment phase will give a clear roadmap of the business case and project plan for digital interventions that will rapidly benefit the business. Using the executive report the management team will select the first group of these for implementation, which is this phase. The Grant Thornton team will be responsible for implementing these, working with the client team. We often work in an agile project methodology to implement several projects in a relative short time allowing the client to see rapid and iterative benefits from their investments. Most high value projects can be implemented over a 6-month period although this would depend somewhat on complexity. Following implementation, the first group of digital interventions will be deployed, and the benefits measured. We can work across any type of digital intervention for example robotics and analytics - using a variety of different technologies. Wherever possible we will leverage tools the business is already familiar with. The Grant Thornton team’s focus is solving your business problems – not in selling clients a raft of software and hardware.

Digital Assessment Workshop

To introduce the concept and to ensure there is a collective vision and buy-in within the management team on the opportunity for digital transformation. This interactive 3-hour workshop discusses the vital and imperative need to digitally transform processes across the company. Critically these will be anchored in business requirements and not led by technology – a reason that many digital transformation projects struggle. We will look at how to; increase productivity and efficiencies,  use digital transformation as an opportunity for value creation, leverage it as a strategic tool for the business. The workshop covers 3 main topics:

  1. The business conditions in Thailand which make digital transformation imperative and urgent.
  2. The contemporary digital interventions which are available to companies today to rapidly make progress against digital transformation opportunities.
  3. How to do a digital assessment to determine the opportunities and business case. This 5-point methodology delivers:
    1. A high-level scan in designated departments of current business challenges that may benefit from digital interventions.
    2. Prioritizing these for the business, particularly focussing on highest value with least complexity.
    3. Joining these together into high priority use cases or value streams.
    4. Preparing a business case for these high priority use cases.
    5. Deliver an executive report on the above.
