Matt has over 10 years experience working as an accountant, business consultant and strategic advisor to both public and private corporations across Europe and Asia and specialises in working capital and cash flow optimisation.
Matt joined Grant Thornton in 2014 to support the formation of the working capital advisory practice alongside lead Partner, Mark O’Sullivan.
Matt has extensive experience providing support to organisations in understanding their current and future cash flow and funding requirements and supporting discussions with external stakeholders including banks and suppliers.
Working to support corporate change programmes as well as event driven cash and working capital reviews, Matt's approach is tailored to meet each client's appetite for improvement in the context of the wider business strategy as well as industry and market trends.
In addition to working capital and cash optimisation, Matt has experience in delivering operational improvements across the finance process, from developing reporting metrics, creating standard operating procedures through to informing target operating models.
Matt's client base ranges from owner managed to FTSE100, as well as a number of Private-Equity owned businesses and he has led successful cash improvement programmes across EMEA, the US and Asia-Pacific.
