You help our clients raise capital, make acquisitions, dispose of a business, reassess their strategic options or perhaps seek a wider market for their company's shares on a stock market?

As a dedicated specialist you do not just complete transactions but help our clients get the best deal value, while helping them to develop and pursue their strategic objectives.

You are frequently required to provide valuations of businesses and opportunities in support if transactions or for financial reporting.

You and the team advise and assist clients in all aspects of their strategic and financial planning to ensure that their long term strategic goals and financial objectives are successfully achieved.

Whether clients are private or publicly listed companies, you help raise funds through equity, debt or hybrid products to fit their financing objectives such as growth initiatives, acquisitions financing, debt obligation refinancing, or operating liquidity.

You may help to select the most suitable stock market for a client's Initial Public Offering (IPO) and assist in the preparation process.

In case clients are looking for a strategic partner or financial partner, you will assist by reaching out to investors in Thailand and overseas through our global network. We also work closely with many private equity fund managers seeking investment opportunities.

For a client's potential acquisition, new project, expansion or refinancing, you help secure all types of financing such as simple borrowing, convertible bonds, project finance and mezzanine finance. And, with our integrated services, we can ensure financing is structured in a tax efficient way.

The work is varied and challenging; as well as presenting an opportunity to work in a supportive and stimulating team based environment. To survive and excel you must be assertive, ambitious, curious and possess determination to develop and lead your team.

You will be responsible for implementing new service initiatives and developing new business opportunities along with maintaining existing client relationships.


ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

You need a good class MBA in Economics, Finance or other relevant subjects.

You must have some 7 years' corporate finance experience gained from an investment bank or related firm, combined with a proven transactions and business valuations track record. You must be a results oriented individual with high levels of commercial acumen and leadership skills.

You are expected to possess excellent verbal and written communication abilities, as well as strong analytical and evaluation skills; whilst demonstrating accuracy and attention to detail when working in a fast paced environment.

You should enjoy working as part of a team but also have a high level of initiative to work unsupervised. A positive attitude and strong organizational skills are essential. You report to the Partner and Head of Corporate Finance (foreigner).

2. Deliverables and KPI's for 'on-the-job success'

  • draft and agree marketing plan for our services with the Partner
  • develop appropriate marketing materials using corporate credentials packs and style
  • create and deliver presentations to appropriate business audiences, law firms
  • possess, and expand, extensive Thai and international business networks including corporates, banks and law firms
  • secure and deliver at least 4 valuation engagements
  • get mandates for, and close 4 financing / M&A assignments
  • identify new business opportunities
  • identify other strong candidates to join our team


3. Role:

  • report directly to Partner
  • manage and grow small team
  • prime responsibility for delivering engagements
  • developing new business opportunities like M&A, raising of finance and valuations


4. Personality:

  • confident and you love making presentations (yes, that's the sales part)
  • dynamic, persistent, self-starter, ambitious, organised
  • smartly presented, polite, friendly, a team player
  • excellent written and spoken English


5. Qualifications:

  • good degree from a top university, major in finance
  • recognised accountancy qualification a plus


6. Experience:

  • at least 7 years relevant work experience in investment banking or corporate finance side of a professional accounting firm
  • experienced in financial modelling
  • experienced in business valuations and knowledgeable on different methodologies for different purposes
  • familiar with different types of debt & equity financing instruments & structures

Closing: we review completion accounts to ensure that terms of Sale & Purchase Agreements and warranties are properly fulfilled.

Post deal integration: an often overlooked and underestimated aspect is securing the anticipated benefits of the acquisition; we assist with the integration of the acquisition into the client's organisation.
